An American University student claimed “Israelis aren’t real people” as she tore down posters of Israeli children being held hostage by Hamas.

Who is Isabella Panteledes?

“I’m Bella Panteledes and I’m a senior at Pentucket High School. I really enjoy learning about history, reading, and being outside with my friends. I took journalism because I enjoy writing about topics that interest me and plan on majoring in journalism at college. I hope to one day pursue a career in it as well”, reads Panteledes’ bio from high school.

Several recent incidents of scholars and students ripping down Israeli hostage posters have been captured on video or flagged on social media.

The posters say “kidnapped” in bold red lettering and show the more than 200 Israeli civilians taken hostage by the terrorist organization Hamas.

On Thursday, Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, reported on his personal blog that his daughter had witnessed another student ripping down posters of Israeli hostages on the campus of George Washington University. The posters read “kidnapped” in big red lettering, and showed pictures of the 200 or so Israeli civilians who have been held hostage by the terror organization Hamas. Turley also posted a video on his blog of a video allegedly taken by a student at George Mason University tearing down the posters. “Instead of posting their own messages and flyers, these students think they have the right to shut down alternative viewpoints,” Turley wrote, adding that the video showed the student walking around the law school and ripping down the posters one by one. “This mentality of silencing others is all too common on our campuses,” he wrote.
