Meg Reiss, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s assistant attorney, is being trolled for her alleged George Soros connection after reports suggested that Donald Trump will be arrested in Stormy Daniels hush money case.
Former President Trump on Truth Social said that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday. The Republican is facing criminal charges for his alleged involvement in the hush money payments that were made to adult film actor Stormy Daniels on his behalf during the 2016 campaign.

Trump said that the “leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States”, referring to himself, “will be arrested on Tuesday of next week”. He further said that the investigation was “corrupt and highly political.” He also referred to the alleged hush money payment as a “old and fully debunked fairy-tale.”
Several Trump supporters on social media slammed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and Deputy AG Meg Reiss, saying their 2021 campaign was funded by billionaire George Soros.
“George Soros gave $1M to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s campaign. Bragg downgraded 52% of felonies to misdemeanors in NYC in 2022. But now Bragg plans to elevate a piddly misdemeanor to a felony because it’s Trump. This is political persecution,” conservative political commentator Liz Wheeler said in a tweet, which was retweeted by Republican senator Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Many also alleged that Reiss is a close ally of Soros.
“From NY law enforcement sources: Alvin Bragg isn’t smart enough to orchestrate the Trump prosecution. He’s an incompetent figurehead. He’s not the one to watch. His deputy Meg Reiss is behind this. She’s a close Soros operative and committed radical with significant global…” a Twitter user said.
There are not enough facts to prove any connection.
