a couple’s joyous wedding day celebration in Mississippi was disrupted by an alleged serial wedding crasher, Sandra Lynn Henson, aged 57.

Who is Sandra Lynn Henson?

Sandra Henson has been accused of infiltrating weddings across Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee, with a pattern of stealing money and cards from unsuspecting attendees.

Sandra Lynn Henson’s alleged wedding-crashing spree came to a head when she was apprehended at the wedding of Lexi Loden and Brady Butler in Pontotoc County. The incident unfolded as Loden Butler’s sister discovered Henson rummaging through belongings in the bridal suite, even finding her enjoying a piece of wedding cake.

Henson was subsequently arrested on September 30 and faced charges of petit larceny, trespassing, and disturbing the peace, according to the Pontotoc Sheriff’s Department. She has since been released on bond, as confirmed by Sheriff Leo Mask.

This recent wedding crash was part of a larger pattern allegedly linked to Henson. Sheriff Mask mentioned that Henson has faced charges related to wedding crashing multiple times, though specifics about her convictions remained unclear due to cases spanning different states.

Prior to her latest arrest, Henson was on parole in Mississippi, where she had previously served time on burglary and grand larceny charges, as indicated by state corrections department records.

History of Wedding-Related Thefts

Henson’s history of wedding-related thefts dates back to 2019 when she was accused of pilfering gifts from two weddings in Alabama, resulting in two counts of property theft. The outcome of those cases remains unclear.

In 2021, Henson was implicated in the theft of wedding gifts, cash, and gift cards totaling over $1,000 in her home state of Mississippi. She was subsequently indicted on a charge of grand larceny, pleaded guilty, and received a five-year probation sentence, according to court records.

The discovery of a notebook among Henson’s belongings sent shockwaves through the Loden-Butler wedding party. The notebook contained a list of at least seven other weddings and couples in the area, suggesting a disturbing pattern of targeting weddings.

Lexi Loden Butler expressed her shock and disbelief at the revelation, remarking on the surreptitious nature of Henson’s actions. The family, who initially concealed the incident from the newlyweds, eventually contacted the Pontotoc County police, leading to Henson’s arrest.

Despite the disruption on her special day, Loden Butler expressed gratitude for her family’s handling of the situation, highlighting that the joy of their wedding day remained intact.

Sheriff Mask commended the family for their proactive response, essentially providing their own security until law enforcement arrived on the scene.
