WWE Hall of Famer Tamara Lynn Sytch, who wrestled as “Sunny,” has been accused of causing a car crash in Florida last month that killed a 75-year-old man and injured several others.

The three-car crash took place on U.S. Highway 1, near State Road 40 around 8.30 pm on March 25. The 49-year-old reportedly tried to drive through a red light, ramming into the rear of another vehicle which was also at the stop light, causing a chain reaction.

The driver of the second car, identified as 75-year-old Julian Lafrancis Lasseter, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver and passengers in the third vehicle were injured but not hospitalised.

Meanwhile, Sytch was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She was released after a blood sample was obtained for investigation of impairment.

No charges have been filed yet, but authorities warned that the 49-year-old could face criminal charges, pending toxicology results.

“Our hearts go out to the Lasseter family that lost their loved one in such a tragic event,” Ormond Beach Police Chief Jesse Godfrey said in a statement.

“Our goal at the Ormond Beach Police Department is to keep city roadways safe, so if you see a vehicle operating in a manner that leads you to believe the driver may be impaired, please don’t hesitate to call 911. You may just save someone’s life.”

This is not the first time Sytch, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, has gotten into trouble with the law in the recent past.

In January, she was taken into custody for reportedly threatening to kill her “intimate partner” with a pair of scissors.

In February 2019, she was charged with her sixth DUI.
