‘A star is born’: Miley Cyrus performs at final four basketball tournament

American singer Miley Cyrus on Saturday performed at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men’s final four concert. The 28-year-old musician took the stage at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to play some vintage numbers, including Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Don’t Stop Me Now,’ Stevie Nicks’ ‘Edge of Seventeen’, and Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’.

Miley’s performance was held after the Baylor-Houston game that ended in Baylor proceeding to the championship game against Gonzaga on Monday, according to People magazine.

The singer shared some of her performance’s clips on Instagram as well. Dressed in a black vest, trousers and a pair of lace-up vinyl boots; Miley also performed her own hits, such as ‘Wrecking Ball’.

“A STAR IS BORN,” she captioned one of her Instagram posts that featured her walking on the stage.

Miley’s performance was praised by her family, friends and colleagues on social media. 

“Mamaw Ruthie said it best ” Wow Wow Wow !!!!” Excellent performance #finalfour@mileycyrus @CBSI agree …Thank you first responders for your service and sacrifice. PS nice hairdo,” Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus wrote on Twitter.

The last time Miley performed for a sporting event was in February at Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida. During the time, she covered tracks like ‘High’ and ‘Edge of Midnight’ from her 2020 album ‘Plastic Hearts’.
