Arnold Schwarzenegger fine after crash, concerned about injured woman

Former California governor, ‘Terminator’ star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Friday in Los Angeles, is fine, his representative said. While the actor was unhurt, one woman was taken to a hospital for an abrasion on her head, LAPD said.

“He is fine, his only concern right now is for the woman who was injured,” the representative said.

The crash, on LA’s West Sunset Boulevard and Allenford Avenue, happened around 4:35 PM PT, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said in a news release. 

“As West L.A. Area officers arrived at scene, it was determined that four vehicles were involved,” police said.

“Neither alcohol or drugs are suspected as a factor in this collision. All parties remained at scene,” the LAPD said.

Schwarenegger, a Republican, was elected California in 2003 after he beat Democrat governor Gray Davis. The 74-year-old was reelected as governor in 2006 and left office in 2011.

He won titles Mr. Universe, Mr. Olympia and Mr. World titles after moving to the US in 1968. He was born in Australia. Schwarenegger played lead roles in films “Conan the Barbarian,” “The Terminator,” and “Total Recall.”

In December 2021, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver filed for divorce, ending a marriage of more than 25 years.

The pair had been married since 1986 when Shriver filed for divorce in 2011 after Schwarzenegger disclosed he had fathered a child with a member of their household staff years earlier.

The revelation set off a tabloid frenzy, but Schwarzenegger and Shriver handled their divorce quietly and without lobbing accusations in court or in public.

Shriver and Schwarzenegger’s children range in age from 24 to 32. The eldest, Katherine Schwarzenegger, is an author who is married to actor Chris Pratt.
