Tokyo Olympics 2020 came to an end on Sunday with a grand closing ceremony in which the flag was handed over to France where the next Games will take place in 2024. “You inspired us with this unifying power of sport. This was even more remarkable given the many challenges you had to face because of the pandemic,” IOC President Thomas Bach told the athletes. The flame was extinguished with a beautiful song. The Indian contingent was led by wrestler Bajrang Punia during the parade of athletes.
