A 16-year-old boy has been apprehended on suspicion of the murder of a 42-year-old mother in a triple shooting incident in east London. Lianne Gordon, described by neighbors as a “beautiful soul,” lost her life in the attack that took place on Tuesday evening in Vine Close, Hackney. A 20-year-old man and another 16-year-old boy sustained injuries during the incident.
The teenage suspect, believed to be the gunman, was arrested in the early hours of Friday and is currently in police custody. Detective Chief Inspector Jo Yorke, from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command, emphasized the significance of the arrest in the ongoing investigation while urging anyone with information to come forward.

Mrs. Gordon and the other injured individuals were reportedly acquainted but not related. The Metropolitan Police is investigating possible links to gangs, and officers are exploring whether the incident is connected to shots fired in the same area on the preceding Saturday.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway, responsible for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, expressed gratitude for the support from the community and highlighted the progress made in the investigation with the recent arrest.
