How does the Jetson ONE flying car work

Tomasz Patan, the co-founder of Swedish company Jetson, took off from his Italian home in a vehicle and touched down some 4.8 kilometers away.
What made the commute remarkable was the vehicle, which was a flying car by Jetson that successfully completed its “first ever” travel.
According to a report by Newsweek, the company said that the time of commute dropped by 88%.
Jetson said that the journey from Patan’s home to a company building in Santa Maria a Monte is a “momentous occasion for the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sector.”
“On May 21, after months of rigorous testing, the Jetson team completed the first-ever eVTOL commute. The team waited in anticipation for the Jetson ONE arrival at the Santa Maria a Monte facility in Tuscany,” said San Sunner, the communications head of the company.

The Jetson ONE flying car, which has a flight time of 20 minutes, runs on eight electric motors and possesses the ability to reach a top speed of 102 kilometers per hour.
Its design consists of an aluminum space frame and a body made of Carbon-Kevlar.

The $83,600 electric vehicle operates on a lithium-ion battery and has the capacity to carry 100 kilograms of pilot weight.
The car also comes with a safety cell and emergency functions for its passengers, including a ballistic parachute for a quick exit.

“Our long-term goal is to democratize flight. We firmly believe the ‘eVTOL’ is the future for mass transportation. We are committed to making this a reality,” Patan said.

“The Jetson is built like a Formula One car for the sky and incredibly fun to fly. Most importantly, the Flight Stabilization System we developed makes flight super easy. We can make anyone a pilot in less than five minutes,” the company added.
