Juventus president Andrea Agnelli and vice president Pavel Nedved Along with the rest of the board of directors have resigned from their positions. The Serie A club has been accused of false accounting and market manipulation in recent months, and it has also experienced record losses.
As vice-chairman of the division and one of the key architects of the European Super League, which fizzled out last season, President Agnelli has been in charge of Juventus since 2010.
Andrea Agnelli’s relation to Neapolitan Nobility
Agnelli is the son of late Juventus F.C. chairman and senator of the Italian Republic Umberto Agnelli, who served as CEO of FIAT from 1970 to 1976, and Donna Allegra Caracciolo di Castagneto, who was born in 1945 and is Marella Agnelli’s first cousin. Marella Agnelli was born Donna Marella Caracciolo di Castagneto and is the daughter of Filippo Caracciolo, 8th Prince di Castagneto, 3rd Duke di Melito (b. 1903).
Marella, the widow of Andrea Agnelli’s uncle Gianni, Allegra, and subsequently Andrea are both decedents of a former Neapolitan nobility that held the titles of Prince of Castagneto and Duke of Melito among others.
