Joe Biden, Vladimir Putin unite in wishing Lionel Messi and Argentina on World Cup triumph

Argentina won the FIFA World Cup in 2022, capping a 36-year wait. Argentina defeated the reigning champion France 4-2 on penalties. Argentina was victorious because of Messi’s outstanding penalty, second goal in extra time, superb pass from Mac Allister, and Di Maria’s finishing touch.
Among the foreign leaders who thanked Argentina President Alberto Fernández after his country won the World Cup on Sunday in Qatar were United States President Joe Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Under a video from President Fernández celebrating the country’s third World Cup title, US President Joe Biden tweeted, “Congratulations to you, Alberto, and to every Argentinian for yesterday’s hard-fought and well-deserved victory. You know, I think that Messi guy might have a future”.
After the defending French champions were defeated, President Emmanuel Macron delivered an eloquent statement in the France locker room. On Sunday, he tweeted: “Bravo to the French team for their progress and fight in this World Cup. You have thrilled the nation and supporters around the world. Congratulations to Argentina for their victory.”
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a Tweet on Sunday, “During a telephone conversation, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, warmly congratulated the President of Argentina Alberto Fernández for Argentina’s victory in the Football World Cup.”
In a Tweet, President Fernández acknowledged that he had spoken with President Vladimir Putin, writing: “Thank you for this greeting President Putin. May the joy that today unites Argentina with so many peoples of the world serve as an example: our societies need unity and peace.”
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted and congratulated Argentina, their team, and President Fernández on their historic win in the FIFA World Cup. Modi tweeted, “This will be remembered as one of the most thrilling Football matches! Congrats to Argentina on becoming #FIFAWorldCup Champions! They’ve played brilliantly through the tournament. Millions of Indian fans of Argentina and Messi rejoice in the magnificent victory!@alferdez”.
Modi also tweeted and congratulated France for their sportsmanship and performance in the World Cup.
He tweeted, “Congratulations to France for a spirited performance at the #FIFAWorldCup! They also delighted Football fans with their skill and sportsmanship on the way to the finals. @EmmanuelMacron”
