Former adult film star Stormy Daniels has vowed not to “pay a penny” to former US President Donald Trump after she was ordered to $300,000 in his attorneys’ fees over her failed defamation lawsuit.
“I will go to jail before I pay a penny,” Daniels tweeted on Monday.

A legal feud has been going on between the two stemming from an alleged sexual encounter. The 43-year-old alleged that the two had sex in 2006 and his attorney paid her to not talk about it ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Trump has repeatedly denied having sex with her.
In 2018, Daniels sued Trump for defamation after he mocked her claim that a man had threatened her about the Trump tryst story. The same year, a judge dismissed the defamation suit, saying that the former POTUS’s statements were protected by the First Amendment.
On Monday, a federal appeals court upheld the decision and ordered her to pay Trump $300,000 for attorney’s fees.
“The lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have started, or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal. Now all I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me,” Trump said in a statement on Monday night.
“As I have stated many times throughout the years, I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I ever have wanted to. The ruling was a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me,” he added.
