US Midterms 2022: Where is Kamala Harris on Election Day?
- Vice President Kamala Harris is away from the White House in Washington DC on Election Day
- Harris told a group of organizers on Monday night that Democrats would 'see victory'
- The VP is scheduled to call into radio stations for quick interviews with the intention to drive turnout
As people across the United States begin heading toward their nearest polling station to vote in the midterms on Tuesday, November 8, Vice President Kamala Harris is away from the White House in Washington DC as she braces for possible losses of her party in the elections.
Despite the odds against her, Harris told a group of organizers on Monday night that Democrats would “see victory.” The VP is scheduled to call into radio stations for quick interviews with the intention to drive turnout at 11:00 a.m. EDT and 4:30 p.m. EDT on Election Day. Her husband, second gentleman Doug Emhoff is scheduled to join NARAL Pro-Choice America for a virtual political event on reproductive rights.

Where is Kamala Harris?
Instead of following the updates on the midterms from Washington DC, Harris is in Los Angeles on Election Day.
She is expected to follow through with her normal morning routine, according to her senior advisor. She will be taking part in her daily morning workout, followed by an array of pre-scheduled meetings, including some form of the president’s daily briefing.

A host of staff in California will also be closely tracking the updates on the ongoing elections and passing them on to the VP as and when required throughout the day. Harris’ aides will stay connected with officials at the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and other Democratic Party officials who are tracking the results.
There is also a discussion going on regarding the possibility of Harris making an in-person and public Election Day stop at an undecided location in Los Angeles. However, the concern is regarding the fact that it could potentially double the work of the ground organizers during crucial voting hours.
Both Harris and Emhoff have voted by mail-in ballots. The vice president will be watching the vote counting the results being called out live in the evening. However, where she will do so remains a mystery.
