The upcoming coronation of King Charles III has captured the attention of people all around the world. Scheduled for May 6, 2023, the coronation ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey in London and will be officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The event will be attended by members of the royal family from different parts of the globe, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children.

After the coronation, King Charles III and his consort, Camilla, will reside in Buckingham Palace. The Palace has been the official residence of British monarchs since 1837 when Queen Victoria moved in. It was inherited by King Charles III following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. However, the King is yet to move into the grand property full-time, as renovations are still underway. Before moving to Buckingham Palace, King Charles and Camilla lived in Clarence House, which is located in central London behind St. James’s Palace.

Clarence House had been the London home of the Queen Mother since 1953. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip also lived in the London townhouse after their wedding in 1947. The property has a rich history, and it is a cherished home for the Royal Family.

Apart from Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, King Charles III has also inherited Sandringham House in Norfolk and Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Sandringham House has been in the royal family for four generations and is a beloved home of the family. The Queen Mother was especially fond of the property, and it has been passed down through the generations. Similarly, Balmoral Castle is also a special place for the family. It was Queen Victoria’s retreat, and the Queen has often retreated there during her reign.
