Laura Voepel, the mother of accused Colorado Springs mass shooter Anderson Lee Aldrich, was arrested after the shooting on November 20.

According to reports on Monday, she was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, an “unclassified petty offense.”

Voepel reportedly became combative and physically resisted when she was placed under arrest, a police officer said.

The 45-year-old’s disorderly conduct charge stems from making unreasonable noise near a private residence, according to a summons.

The arrest took place just hours after her son attacked a local LGBTQ+ nightclub. The time of the incident is listed as 3:30 a.m., approximately three and a half hours after police were called to the Club Q shooting.

Voepel was allegedly warned “multiple times” at her home to “stop yelling.” But she “continued to make unreasonable noise directly next to multiple apartments,” according to the document, which states her Colorado Springs address on Union Boulevard.

The summons says Voepel “was warned multiple times to stop yelling or she would be arrested for disorderly conduct.”

“Subject continued to make unreasonable noise directly next to multiple apartments,” the summons says. “While I attempted to place subject into custody, she became combative by physically resisting officers control by force.”

Voepel is scheduled to be in court again on January 25.

Voepel’s son Anderson Lee Aldrich walked into Club Q and opened fire, killing five people and injuring at least 19 others.
