Carolina Panthers‘ wide receiver Robbie Anderson made headlines when he had a verbal spat with positional HC Joe Dailey, which resulted in him being kicked out of the field by his own team in a 24-10 loss against the Los Angeles Rams at the Sofi Stadium on October 16, 2022.
Anderson reportedly had an emotional breakdown after he was given the marching orders to leave the field. The 29-year-old has registered 13 receptions for 206 yards and a touchdown in the 2022 NFL Season so far.
Who is Robbie Anderson?
Robert Steven Anderson is a wide receiver for the National Football League (NFL) outfit Carolina Panthers. He attended Temple University and played football there. Anderson was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Jets in 2016.
He was born on May 9, 1993, in Fair Lawn city in New Jersey. Anderson chose Temple University over offers from Illinois, Indiana and Marshall to play college football for the Temple Owls. Anderson switched his position to become a wide receiver in 2013, catching 44 passes for 791 yards and nine touchdowns.
As an undrafted free agent in 2016, Anderson signed a three-year, $1.63 million contract with the New York Jets, which included a $10,000 signing bonus.

In the New York Jets‘ season-opening 23-22 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, he made his professional regular season debut. Anderson made his first career reception on a 26-yard pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick on September 25, 2016, and finished the 24-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with two receptions for 34 yards.
In 16 games and eight starts, he finished his rookie season with 42 receptions, 587 yards, and two touchdowns.
Anderson signed a two-year, $20 million contract with the Carolina Panthers on April 1, 2020, with $12 million guaranteed and an $8 million signing bonus.
