The upcoming coronation of King Charles III has sparked much speculation about who will be present on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the event. Notably, Prince Andrew has been invited but will not be allowed to participate in the balcony presentation. Additionally, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their son, Archie, will also not be present. The King is said to be focusing on a “slimmed-down monarchy” and only wants working members of the Royal Family on the balcony.

According to sources familiar with the plans, the King has been very clear about who he wants to represent the monarchy at the coronation. The event is considered a state occasion rather than a family gathering, and only the working members of the family are expected to be present for the public moment. Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will also not be attending.

The King’s vision for a slimmed-down monarchy will be reflected in the balcony presentation, with only senior working members of the family and the Prince and Princess of Wales’s children expected to attend. The balcony moment is expected to be the King’s final presentation of a slimmed-down monarchy, which will become even more streamlined once the Gloucesters, Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra step away from public life and into their retirements.

The full lineup expected to be present on the balcony includes King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and their children, as well as Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra. The event will conclude with a spectacular flypast over the Royal Family’s headquarters, marking a historic moment in the British monarchy’s history.
