When Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey shared a link on Twitter inviting his followers to the Bitcoin event ‘The B Word’, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was among the first to respond to the post. Musk replied to the post, “Bicurious?”. ‘The B Word’ was introduced by the Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI) with the objective of demystifying and destigmatising “mainstream narratives about Bitcoin".
On Thursday, Dorsey wrote on Twitter, “The bitcoin development community above all else. As more companies and institutions get into the mix, we all want to help protect and spread what makes bitcoin open development so perfect. This day is focused on education and actions to do just that”. He also attached a link for ‘The B Word’.
Musk replied to the tweet, saying, "Bicurious?". Dorsey responded to Musk, "Bizarre! Let's you and I have a conversation at the event. You can share all your curiosities...". The conversation continued with the Tesla CEO saying, “Lmfao omg”. Dorsey replied with “ Lets have THE talk”. The conversation between the two ended with Musk saying “The comments in this thread are solid gold”.
The CCI is a global alliance of crypto industry leaders. While Dorsey has always advocated for cryptocurrency Bitcoin on social media and will continue to talk about it at the event ‘The B Word’. Musk famously announced that Tesla Motors would not accept the cryptocurrency as a form of payment for car purchases, citing environmental concerns and excessive power usage. Bitcoin also saw a significant fall in its value following Tesla’s move.
