Rose, one of the stars of popular South Korean all-girls band Blackpink, has shared a glimpse of her low-key midnight birthday celebration on Instagram by posting a monochrome picture of herself with a cake. Rose is celebrating her 25th birthday on Thursday. "Officially 25!!!!!!!" she captioned the image that showed Rose sitting on the floor and taking a look at her cake.

Notably, she has turned 24 for the world. However, as Koreans still count their first birthday on the day they were born, Rose has turned 25 by that standard.

The birthday girl, whose full name is Roseanne Park, has over 35 million followers on Instagram. She is the third most-followed Korean individual on the platform.

According to media reports, Rose is all set to make her solo music debut next month. In late January, she had shared a 30-second teaser for a “solo project” that has more than 6.5 million views on Instagram alone. Notably, during the virtual Blackpink concert in the same month, she performed 'Gone', one of her songs from her much-awaited solo album.

As a solo artist, Rose has previously featured in labelmate G-Dragon's 2012 track 'Without You', which ranked at the number 10 on the Gaon Digital Chart.

The K-Pop star signed up with YG Entertainment in 2012 and eventually made her debut as a member of Blackpink in June 2016. She was the last performer to be revealed by the group.
