Gold prices were slightly higher on Monday, as Russia’s actions in eastern Ukraine bolstered the safe-haven gold. However, the gain was limited by a strong dollar and high Treasury yields.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Monday, April 11, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 52,119.00 per 10 gm, up 48 points or 0.09%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 67,146.00 per kg, up 154 points or 0.23%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,941.32 per oz. Platinum was trading at $980.14 while palladium was trading at $2,490.76. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,600 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 66,636 per kg on Friday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 815.90 down 0.48% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 477.00 and Rs 272.85 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

In Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold stands at Rs 48,600, according to the Good Returns website. In Chennai, the same quantity of 22-carat purity is valued at Rs 49,190.

The value of 24-carat in the four metro cities, 10 grams is priced at Rs 53,020 in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same quantity of the precious yellow metal is Rs 53,660, today.

In Bengaluru, Kerala and Hyderabad, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being bought and sold for Rs 48,600. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is being traded at Rs 53,020 in the three southern regions.

In Pune and Vadodara, 10 grams of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 53,120, while the same amount of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 48,700.

In Jaipur and Lucknow, 22-carat of yellow metal is being purchased at Rs 48,750 for 10 grams. The price of 24-carat gold in the two cities stands at Rs 53,170 currently.

In Patna and Nagpur, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 48,700, while the same amount of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 53,120.
