Gold prices rose on Monday on reports that Western nations are poised to officially ban Russian metal imports. Four of the Group of Seven (G7) nations banned Russian gold imports on Sunday, tightening the sanctions on Moscow and cutting off its methods of funding the invasion of Ukraine.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Monday, June 27, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,826.00 per 10 gm, up 203 points or 0.4%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 60,578.00 per kg, up 829 points or 1.39%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,837.39 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.44. Platinum was trading at $913.54 while palladium was trading at $1,935.49. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 46,559 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 59350 per kg on Friday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 700.30 up 0.60% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 484.30 and Rs 209.40 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

Ten grams of 22-carat gold in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata is being traded at Rs 47,550, according to the Good Returns website. In Chennai, the same quantity of the much-in-demand metal is being sold at Rs 47,600.

The 24-carat gold rates, 10 grams of it in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata is priced at Rs 51,870. In Chennai, the same quantity is valued at Rs 51,920 today.

In Lucknow and Nagpur, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being traded at Rs 47,700 and Rs 47,580, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat gold is being purchased at Rs 52,030 in Lucknow and Rs 51,900 in Nagpur.

In Kerala, Bangalore and Hyderabad, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 47,550. In Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, and Mysore, the same amount of 22-carat gold is also being traded at Rs 47,550. In the above areas, ten grams of 24-carat gold is being traded at Rs 51,870.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,580 and Rs 47,700 in Patna and Chandigarh, respectively. In Patna, the same quantity of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,900, whereas, in Chandigarh, it costs Rs 52,030.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold may be purchased in Ahmedabad and Coimbatore for Rs 47,580 and Rs 47,600, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is bought and sold in Ahmedabad for Rs 51,900 and in Coimbatore for Rs 51,920.
