Domestic gold prices remained flat on Thursday, as a strong US dollar stifled demand for the yellow metal in the wake of hawkish US Fed minutes.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,680.00 per 10 gm, up 84 points or 0.16%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 66,346.00 per kg, up 41 points or 0.06%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,925.46 per oz. Platinum was trading at $946.52 while palladium was trading at $2,229.31. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,340 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 65,919 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 817.10 down 0.02% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 471.70 and Rs 279.50 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

In Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being traded at Rs 47,800 today, as per the Good Returns website. The same quantity of the much-in-demand metal is being obtained at Rs 48,420 in Chennai.

The 24-carat gold rate, 10 grams of the valuable metal is priced at Rs 52,140 in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata. Whereas, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is being vented at Rs 52,820 in Chennai.

In Coimbatore and Surat, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being purchased at Rs 48,420 and Rs 47,880, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is being sold at Rs 52,820 in Coimbatore and Rs 52,220 in Surat.

In Hyderabad, Kerala and Bengaluru, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being procured at Rs 47,800. While in Mysore, Vijayawada and Mangalore, the same quantity of 22-carat purity is also valued at Rs 47,800. However, 10 grams of 24-carat gold in all the above regions is being sold at Rs 52,140.

In Pune and Madurai, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being vented at Rs 47,850 and Rs 48,420, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is priced at Rs 52,190 in Pune and Rs 52,820 in Madurai.

In Jaipur and Nagpur, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 47,950 and Rs 47,850, respectively. While the same quantity of 24-carat purity is priced at Rs 52,290 in Jaipur and Rs 52,190 in Nagpur.
