Gold futures increased marginally while silver futures were trading lower on Thursday after the Fed minutes from the recent policy meeting failed to provide clarification on the US federal reserve’s stance on rate hikes.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,680.00 per 10 gm, up 137 points or 0.27%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 56,622.00 per kg, down 293 points or 0.51%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,761.74 per oz while Silver is priced at $19.62. Platinum was trading at $914.99 while palladium was trading at $2,132.84. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,780 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 57,821 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 659.35 down 0.28% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 736.80 and Rs 209.60 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

According to the Good Returns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being sold for Rs 47,890 in Mumbai and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same amount of yellow metal can be purchased for Rs 48,480. Today, it costs Rs 48,040 in New Delhi.

The 24-carat gold rate is Rs 52,240 for ten grams of metal in Kolkata and Mumbai. In Chennai, the same amount of gold is being traded for Rs 52,890. It can be purchased for Rs 52,390 in New Delhi.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,930 and Rs 47,890 in Patna and Bhubaneswar, respectively. In Patna, the same amount of valuable metal is worth Rs 52,280, while in Bhubaneshwar, it is worth Rs 52,240.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,890 in Hyderabad and Kerala. The same amount can be purchased for Rs 47,940 in Surat, Mysore, and Bengaluru. In Hyderabad and Kerala, ten grams of 24-carat gold costs Rs 52,240. The same amount of 24-carat gold can be purchased for Rs 52,300 in Bengaluru, Mysore, and Surat.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,040 and Rs 48,480 in Chandigarh and Coimbatore, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,390 in Chandigarh. It is worth Rs 52,890 in Coimbatore.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold is bought and sold for Rs 48,040 in Jaipur and Lucknow. In both cities, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is sold for Rs 52,390.
