Gold prices remained flat in international markets on March 24, levelling out following a tumultuous session, as investors reviewed the Fed’s quarter-point increase in its benchmark rate, which it had kept near zero since the global crisis struck two years ago and circumstances surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and sanctions imposed on Moscow.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,738.00 per 10 gm, down 29 points or 0.06%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 68,113.00 per kg, down 151 points or 0.22%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,939.92 per oz. Platinum was trading at $1,013.98 while palladium was trading at $2,529.35.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,400 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 67,734 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 829.70 down 0.25% while Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 295.10 per Kg on MCX.

The 10 grams of 22-carat gold in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata is being traded at Rs 47,350. In Chennai, 10 grams of the much-in-demand metal is being obtained at Rs 47,810, as per the Good Returns website. 

The 24-carat gold rates, 10 grams of it in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata is being sold at Rs 51,670. However, in Chennai, the same amount of 24-carat purity is being traded at Rs 52,160.

In Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kerala, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is rated at Rs 47,350. Similarly, in Visakhapatnam, Mysore and Mangalore, the same quantity of 22-carat purity is also being sold at Rs 47,350. However, 10 grams of 24-carat of the valuable yellow metal is valued at Rs 51,670 in the above cities.

In Pune, Vadodara and Jaipur, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being traded at Rs 47,420, Rs 47,400 and Rs 47,500, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity is being traded at Rs 51,740 in Pune, Rs 51,720 in Vadodara and Rs 51,820 in Jaipur.

In Lucknow, Coimbatore and Patna, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 47,500, Rs 47,810, Rs 47,420, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity is estimated at Rs 51,820 in Lucknow, Rs 52,160 in Coimbatore and Rs 51,740 in Patna.
