Gold prices edged lower in Indian markets today after reporting strong gains in the previous session. A pullback in the US dollar and US bond yields from recent highs helped spark a rebound in bullion. Domestic consumers are looking favorably at the yellow metal ahead of the festive season. Rising interest rates would spark a worldwide recession, making greenback-priced bullion more expensive for overseas buyers and diminishing its appeal.
