Gold prices in the domestic market were down, defying the global trend, thanks to a weaker rupee. However, the weakness in the US dollar trimmed the losses. The dollar eased off a 20-year high, offsetting pressure from expectations of the US Federal Reserve keeping interest rates higher for longer to combat inflation. the benchmark 10-year yields pulled back from a two-month high hit in the previous session.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) remained stable on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,950.00 per 10 gm, down 300 points or 0.59%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 54,980.00 per kg, down 260 points or 0.47%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,736.00 per oz, while silver is priced at $18.76. Platinum was trading at $864.50, while palladium was trading at $2,174.00.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,030 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 54,316 per kg on Monday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 663.05 down 0.80% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 732.40 and Rs 211.40 per Kg respectively on MCX.

According to the Good Returns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being sold for Rs 47,250 in Mumbai and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same amount of yellow metal can be purchased for Rs 48,900. Today, it costs Rs 47,400 in New Delhi.

The 24-carat gold rate is Rs 51,540 for ten grams of metal in Kolkata and Mumbai. In Chennai, the same amount of gold is being traded for Rs 52,250. It can be purchased for Rs 51,690 in New Delhi.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,280 and Rs 47,400 in Pune and Jaipur, respectively. In Pune, the same amount of valuable metal is worth Rs 51,570, while in Jaipur, it is worth Rs 51,690.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,250 in Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, and Vishakhapatnam. The same amount can be purchased for Rs 47,260 in Mysore, Mangalore, and Surat. In Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, and Vishakhapatnam, ten grams of 24-carat gold costs Rs 51,540. The same amount of 24-carat gold can be purchased for Rs 51,590 in Mangalore, Mysore, and Surat.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,280 and Rs 47,900 in Patna and Madurai, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,570 in Patna. It is worth Rs 52,250 in Madurai.
