Gold prices began higher on Tuesday, but lost ground as the day advanced due to a lack of indications.

Benchmark US 10-year Treasury rates fell after rising the previous day, boosting gold demand. The dollar remained stable, and its strength has kept greenback-priced bullion prices under control in recent weeks.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,890.00 per 10 gm, up 241 points or 0.48%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 60,406.00 per kg, up 460 points or 0.77%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,826.68 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.25. Platinum was trading at $911.39 while palladium was trading at $1,892.47.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 49,870 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 60,832 per kg on Monday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 707.80 up 1.22% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 515.00 and Rs 213.85 per Kg respectively on MCX.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata is being sold at Rs 47,650, according to the Good Returns website. The same quantity of the precious yellow metal is being traded at Rs 47,700 in Chennai.

The 24-carat gold rate, ten grams of the metal in Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi is priced at Rs 51,980. The same quantity in Chennai is valued at Rs 52,030 today.

In Vadodara and Lucknow, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being purchased at Rs 47,680 and Rs 47,800, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 52,030 in Vadodara and Rs 52,130 in Lucknow.

In Vishakhapatnam, Mangalore and Mysore, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being traded at Rs 47,650. In Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kerala, the same amount of 22-carat purity is also being purchased at Rs 47,650. Ten grams of 24-carat gold in all the above areas is valued at Rs 51,980.

In Coimbatore and Pune, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being acquired at Rs 47,700 and Rs 47,680, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is priced at Rs 52,030 in both cities.

In Chandigarh and Surat, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being procured at Rs 47,800 and Rs 47,680 respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is being bought and sold at Rs 52,130 in Chandigarh and Rs 52,030 in Surat.
