Gold prices fell slightly on Wednesday due to conflicting signals. While lower US Treasury rates aided gold, the dollar’s strength hampered its appeal.

On Tuesday, the US Federal Reserve vowed more quick interest-rate rises to combat rising inflation but resisted mounting investor and economist concerns that dramatically higher borrowing rates might precipitate a sharp slump.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,800.00 per 10 gm, down 22 points or 0.04%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 60,038.00 per kg, down 155 points or 0.26%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,818.05 per oz while Silver is priced at $20.77. Platinum was trading at $925.37 while palladium was trading at $1,908.33.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 49,800 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 60,518 per kg on Tuesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 700.25 down 0.67% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 535.70 and Rs 210.70 per Kg respectively on MCX.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,650 in Kolkata, New Delhi, and Mumbai. According to the Good Returns website, the same quantity of the in-demand metal is being offered for Rs 47,700 in Chennai.

The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata is Rs 51,980. Today, the same amount is worth Rs 52,030 in Chennai.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,680 and Rs 47,800 in Pune and Lucknow, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,030 in Pune and Rs 52,130 in Lucknow.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,650 in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The same quantity of 22-carat purity is also being marketed at Rs 47,650 in Vishakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, and Mysore. In the aforementioned places, ten grams of 24-carat gold costs Rs 51,980.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,650 and Rs 47,800 in Patna and Chandigarh, respectively. In Patna, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is bought and sold for Rs 52,030, while it is valued at Rs 52,130 in Chandigarh.
