The BSE Sensex surged 701.67 points or 1.23% to settle at
57,521.06. The NSE Nifty closed 206.65 points or 1.21% higher at 17,245.05. Among sectors power, FMCG, auto and capital goods settled with gains. The
BSE midcap and smallcap also settled in the green.

Hindustan Unilever: The stock price jumped 4.28% to close
at Rs 2,237 after the FMCG conglomerate reported an 8.6% rise in standalone
post-tax profit at Rs 2,327 crore for the March 2022 quarter. Sequentially, the
net profit rose 3.7%. Standalone revenue from operations stood at Rs 13,462
crore, an increase of 11% YoY. On a sequential basis, revenues surged 2.8%.

SBI Life Insurance: Shares of the life insurance firm
rose 3.70% to close at Rs 1,113.95 after the company reported a 26% rise in net
profit at Rs 672.15 crore for March 2022 quarter. The insurer’s profit stood at
Rs 532.38 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Total
income surged by 2.5% to Rs 21,427.88 crore in the reported quarter from Rs
20,896 crore in the March 2021 quarter.

Bajaj Auto: The share declined 1.97% to settle at Rs
3,828.70 after two and three-wheeler makers declared a 10.3% YoY rise in
standalone profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 1,469 crore. Sequentially, the growth
in PAT came in at 21%.

Indian Hotels Company: Shares of IHCL settled 4.98%
higher at Rs 247.50 as the company has turned net debt-free helped by cost
optimization measures. In addition, strong quarterly numbers and a positive
business outlook also boosted investor sentiment for the stock.

Coromandel International: The share jumped 6.89% to close
at Rs 906.05 after reporting robust results for the March quarter of the
