Hyundai Motor India on Sunday reported its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 56,605 units in October and an additional export figure of 12,230 units. The company registered an 8.2% increase in total sales at 68,835 units last month, according to media reports.

In a one-year-comparison, Hyundai showed a 13.2% growth from 50,010 units in October 2019. It achieved the previous highest monthly domestic sales in October 2018 with 52,001 units.

The performance betterment could be linked to Creta. Launched earlier this year, the compact SUV, managed to battle with rivals such as Seltos from Kia Motors. The company recently announced that it had hit the landmark of 2 lakh ‘Made in India’ Creta units in exports.

However, Hyundai’s exports have declined by 10.1% to 12,230 units as compared to 13,600 units in October 2019.
