The BSE benchmark Sensex plunged 1,416.30 points or 2.62%
to settle at 52,792.23. The broader NSE Nifty tumbled 430.90 points or 2.65% to
close at 15,809.40. All the sectoral indices closed in the red with metal, IT
indices declining 4-5%. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices lost over 2% each.

Here are the key stocks that moved most on May 19:
ITC: Shares of ITC Limited surged 3.35% to close at Rs
275.75 after the FMCG-cigarettes-hotels company reported encouraging revenue
growth in the cigarette business. ITC reported 11.7% YoY growth in consolidated
net profit at Rs 4,196 crore. On a sequential basis, profit surged 3.4%.
Consolidated revenue rose 15.35 YoY to Rs 17,754 crore. On a sequential basis,
it fell by 3.3%.

Interglobe Aviation (IndiGo): The stock price declined
2.03% to close at Rs 1,662.00 after the company said that the chief executive
officer (CEO) Ronojoy Dutta will retire in September. Dutta, 71, was appointed
to the top position in January 2019. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines president and CEO
Pieter Elbers, 52, will join as the new CEO on October 1, 2022.

Lupin: The share price fell 6.92% to close at Rs 636.00
after the company reported a loss of Rs 512 crore in the March quarter compared
with a profit of Rs 546 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue surged 3% to Rs
3,865 crore. EBITDA fell 63% YoY to Rs 282 crore. Lupin said its recent
quarter was challenging headwinds in the US due to a fall in prices and
inflation in input materials and freight.

Manappuram Finance: The share price plunged 9.23% to
close at Rs 94.90 after the company reported a 44% YoY decline in net profit
for the March quarter to Rs 261 crore against analysts’ forecast of Rs 451
crore.

LIC Housing Finance: The stock ended 0.68% down at Rs
356.45 after the company reported nearly a three times YoY jump in net profit
to Rs 1,118.64 crore on lower provisions and improvement in collection
efficiencies. Individual home loan portfolio grew 13% YoY to Rs 204,230 crore
as of the end of the March 2022 quarter. The financier expects growth of 15% in
the portfolio.
