Kings XI Punjab on Sunday took on Twitter to express the mood of their camp after registering another close win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. KL Rahul’s side have now won four wins on a trot, three coming against the top three teams on the points table.

The franchise posted a popular dialogue by Amazon Prime thriller web series Mirzapur’s protagonist Govind aka Guddu Pandit (played by Ali Fazal), when the character issues a warning saying,“Humein zinda chhod diye, galat kiye! (Not killing me was a mistake). In Kings XI Punjab’s reference, this tweet clearly indicates that teams who tried to take the game close, giving the ‘Lions’ a sleak chance for a win, have payed the price.

“Humein zinda chhod diye, galat kiye! ⚔️
SaddaPunjab #IPL2020 #KXIPvSRH #Mirzapur2,” the tweet read.

On Saturday, Punjab’s bowling attack managed to defend a 126 run total, claiming seven wickets in 22 balls, giving away only 14 runs. Chris Jordan, Arshdeep Singh and
Mohammed Shami ran through Sunrisers Hyderabad’s line-up, causing one of the most memorable collapses in IPL. Earlier it was Rashid Khan who had a happy innings dismissing two batsmen for 14 runs in his spell.

The piture posted with the tweet displayed the points table that shows Punjab rapidly running upwards. However, the spotlight was all garnered by Jonty Rhodes with his animated thumbs up, as a cut-out of the fielding coach’s picture was placed right in the centre.

Kings XI Punjab have already been involved in two super over finishes, the one against Mumbai Indians going into a second super over. Seven of the 11 games they’ve participated in have finished in the last over. While in the first half, the KL Rahul led team couldn’t cross the finish line in the close games, they’ve managed to do so in the second half.
