Sensex touched a high and low of 57,991.53 and 57,311.86, respectively. There were 27 stocks advancing against 3 stocks declining on the index.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Mahindra & Mahindra up by 3.50%, Maruti Suzuki up by 2.70%, Bajaj Finserv up by 2.46%, and Asian Paints up by 2.38% and Reliance Industries up by 2.35%.

On the flip side, Tata Steel down by 0.88%, Bharti Airtel down by 0.63% and Nestle down by 0.60% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were Eicher Motors up by 4.36%, Coal India up by 3.99%, Mahindra & Mahindra up by 3.15%, Adani Ports &SEZ up by 2.70% and Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 2.69%.

On the flip side, Cipla down by 1.19%, Hindalco down by 0.75%, ONGC down by 0.63%, Bajaj Auto down by 0.56% and Tata Steel down by 0.55% were the top losers.

Adani Enterprises Limited, The Andhra Sugars Limited, Angel One Limited, AU Small Finance Bank Limited, and Avadh Sugar & Energy Limited have made a fresh 52 week high on Thursday.
