Sensex fell 48.88 points or 0.09% to 55,769.23 and Nifty
was down by 43.70 points or 0.26% to 16,584.30 in the previous session.

Sensex touched a high and low of 56,432.65 and 55,719.36,
respectively. There were 12 stocks advancing against 18 stocks declining on the
index.

Nifty traded in a range of 16,793.85 and 16,567.90. There
were 11 stocks advancing against 39 stocks declining on the index.

The broader indices ended in red with the BSE Mid cap
index falling 1.45% while Small cap index was down by 1.16%. On the sectoral front,
IT was up by 0.35%, Energy was up by 0.28% and TECK was up by 0.20%, while
Power was down by 2.40%, Basic Materials was down by 2.31%, Utilities was down
by 2.21%, Auto was down by 1.74%, Consumer Durables was down by 1.58% were the
losing indices on BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Reliance Industries up
by 2.02%, Infosys up by 0.94%, Larsen & Toubro up by 0.85%, Sun Pharma up
by 0.63% and TCS up by 0.46%. On the flip side, Ultratech Cement down by 5.49%,
Maruti Suzuki down by 2.71%, NTPC down by 2.51%, Axis Bank down by 2.18% and
Bajaj Finserv down by 2.09% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were Reliance Industries up by
1.97%, Infosys up by 0.98%, Larsen & Toubro up by 0.79%, Sun Pharma up by
0.68% and HCL Technologies up by 0.67%. On the flip side, Grasim Industries
down by 6.53%, Ultratech Cement down by 5.50%, Shree Cement down by 4.64%, Hero
MotoCorp down by 3.05% and Maruti Suzuki down by 2.79% were the top losers.

Aether Industries Limited, Automotive Axles Limited,
Elecon Engineering Company Limited, Ice Make Refrigeration Limited and ION
Exchange (India) Limited have made fresh 52 week high on Friday.

RELIANCE, INFY, ULTRACEMCO, HDFC, DEEPAKNTR, ADANIGREEN,
TCS, GRASIM, ICICIBANK and BAJFINANCE were the most active equities on NSE.

Selan Exploration Technology Limited, Motilal Oswal
Mutual Fund – Motilal Oswal 5 Year Sec ETF – Growth, Tata Nifty Exchange Traded
Fund, Sintercom India Limited and Shah Alloys Limited were the top volume
gainers.

AAKASH, ANKITMITTAL, ARENTERP, ASAL and AXISCADES hit the
upper price band while 21STCENMGM, 3PLAND, A2ZINFRA, AARON and ADROITINFO hit
the lower price band. There were 97 securities that hit the upper band while 74
hit the lower band on June 3, 2022.
