Sensex fell 215.85 points or 0.39% to 54,892.49 and Nifty
was down by 60.10 points or 0.37% to 16,356.25 on Wednesday.  

Sensex touched a high and low of 55,423.97 and 54,683.30,
respectively. There were 13 stocks advancing against 17 stocks declining on the
index.

Nifty traded in a range of 16,293.35 and 16,514.30. There
were 22 stocks advancing against 28 stocks declining on the index.

The broader indices ended in red with the BSE Mid cap
index down by 0.15%, while the Small cap index was down by 0.33%. On the
sectoral front, Realty was up by 1.88%, Metal up by 0.52%, PSU up by 0.45%, IT
up by 0.20% and Healthcare up by 0.11%, while Telecom down by 1.62%, FMCG down
by 0.95%, Energy down by 0.87%, Oil & Gas down by 0.69% and Industrials
down by 0.49% were the top losing indices on BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Tata Steel up by
1.70%, SBI up by 1.66%, Dr. Reddy’s Lab up by 1.39%, Titan Coompany up by 1.32%
and Bajaj Finance up by 1.25%. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel down by 3.31%,
ITC down by 2.03%, Reliance Industries down by 1.74%, Asian Paints down by
1.44% and Axis Bank down by 1.03% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were Tata Steel up by 1.71%, SBI
up by 1.70%, Titan Company up by 1.34%, Dr. Reddy’s Lab up by 1.33% and Bajaj
Finance up by 1.29%. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel down by 3.21%, ITC down
by 2.19%, Reliance Industries down by 1.76%, UPL down by 1.48% and Asian Paints
down by 1.44% were the top losers.

Archidply Décor Limited, Chennai Petroleum Corporation
Limited, Global Education Limited, Hardwyn India Limited and Hindustan Motors
Limited have made fresh 52 week high on Wednesday.

Aarti Industries Limited, AGS Transact Limited, Akash
Infra-Projects Limited, The Anup Engineering Limited and Aptus Value Housing
Finance Limited have hit a 52-week low on Wednesday.

RELIANCE, MRPL, BHARTIARTL, CHENNPETRO, ABIN, BAJFINANCE,
ONGC, TCS, INFY and TATASTEEL were the most active equities on NSE.

NBI Industries Finance Company Limited, Selan,
Exploration Technology Limited, Debock Industries Limited, Federal-Mogul Goetze
(India) Limited and Asian Energy Services Limited were the top volume gainers.

ADL, ANKITMETAL, ANSALAPI, ANSALHSG and ARSSINFRA hit the
upper price band while 3PLAND, ADROITINFO, AJRINFRA, ARVEE and BKMINDST hit the
lower price band. There were 65 securities that hit the upper band while 52 hit
the lower band on June 8, 2022.
