Sensex rose 1335.05 points or 2.25% to 60,611.74 and Nifty was up by 382.95 points or 2.17% to 18,053.40 in the previous session. Sensex touched a high and low of 60,845.10 and 59,760.22, respectively. There were 28 stocks advancing against 2 stocks declining on the index. Nifty traded in a range of 18,114.65 and 17,791.40. There were 46 stocks advancing against 4 stocks declining on the index.

The top gainers on the Sensex were HDFC Bank up by 9.97%, HDFC up by 9.30%, Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 3.32%, Hindustan Unilever up by 2.24% and Larsen & Toubro up by 1.95%. On the flip side, Infosys down by 1.05% and Titan Company down by 0.20% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were HDFC Bank up by 9.83%, HDFC up by 9.12%, Adani Ports up by 4.10%, HDFC Life Insurance up by 3.72% and Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 3.25%. On the flip side, Infosys down by 1.13%, Tata Consumer Product down by 0.35% and Titan Company down by 0.23% were the top losers.

Aarvi Encon Limited, Adani Enterprises Limited, Adani Green Energy Limited, Adani Power Limited, and Asian Hotels (East) Limited have made fresh 52 weeks high on Monday.

Asian Hotels (West) Limited, DRC Systems India Limited, GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited, and Shaily Engineering Plastics Limited have hit a 52-week low on Monday.

IDEA, ADANI POWER, YESBANK, IDFCFIRSTB, JPPOWER, GTLINFRA, PNB, SAIL, HDFCBANK, and RPOWER were the most active equities on NSE.

GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund – ICICI Prudential Consumption ETF, Godrej Agrovet Limited, Gandhi Special Tubes Limited, and Umang Dairies Limited were the top volume gainers.

3IINFOLTD, 3PLAND, A2ZINFRA, ADANIGREEN, and ADROITINFO hit the upper price band while BALLARPUR, BLUE COAST, DIL, ELGIRUBCO, and ENERGY DEV hit the lower price band. There were 308 securities that hit the upper band while 33 hit the lower band on April 4, 2022.
