Sensex fell 236.00 points or 0.43% to 54,052.91 and Nifty
was down by 89.55 points or 0.55% to 16,125.15 in the previous session.

Sensex touched a high and low of 54,524.37 and 53,866.61,
respectively. There were 8 stocks advancing against 22 stocks declining on the
index.

Nifty traded in a range of 16,414.70 and 16,185.75. There
were 14 stocks advancing against 36 stocks declining on the index.

The top gainers on the Sensex were HDFC up by 1.45%, Dr Reddy’s Lab up by 1.45%, Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 1.43%, HDFC Bank up by 1.28%
and Power Grid Corporation up by 1.18%. On the flip side, Tech Mahindra down by
4.37%, Asian Paints down by 2.96%, HCL Technologies down by 2.91%, Hindustan
Unilever down by 2.88% and Infosys down by 2.14% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were Kotak Mahindra Bank up by
1.72%, Dr. Reddy’s Lab up by 1.47%, HDFC up by 1.40%, HDFC Bank up by 1.29% and
Power Grid Corporation up by 1.27%. On the flip side, Divi’s Lab down by 6.01%,
Tech Mahindra down by 4.12%, Grasim Industries down by 3.46%, ONGC down by
2.97% and Asian Paints down by 2.85% were the top losers.

Adani Power Limited, Akshar Spintex Limited, Apcotex
Industries Limited, Commercial Engineers & Body Builders Co Limited and
Coromandel International Limited have made fresh 52 week high on Tuesday.

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited, AGI Greenpac Limited,
AGS Transact Technologies Limited, Akshar Spintex Limited and Alkyl Amines
Chemicals Limited have hit a 52-week low on Tuesday.

ZOMATO, IDEA, GMRINFRA, YESBANK, JPPOWER, SAIL, PNB,
GTLINFRA, ADANIPOWER and RENUKA were the most active equities on NSE.

GMR Infrastructure Limited, Nippon India Mutual Fund,
Axis Mutual Fund, Nippon India ETF Infra Bees and Shilpa Medicare Limited were
the top volume gainers.

AARVI, AGROPHOS, ARTNIRMAN, BCG and BKMINDST hit the
upper price band while 3PLAND, 63MOONS, AAKASH, ADANIPOWER and ADROITINFO hit
the lower price band. There were 66 securities that hit the upper band while
134 hit the lower band on May 24, 2022.
