The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 57,687.64 and 57,085.92. There were 25 stocks advancing against 5 stocks declining on the index.

The Nifty traded in a range of 17,142.35 and 16,960.05. There were 42 stocks advancing against 7 stocks declining on the index, while 1 stock remained stable.
The broader indices ended in green; the BSE MidCap index rose 0.66%, while the SmallCap index was up by 0.22%. The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were Realty by 1.69%, FMCG by 1.38%, Power by 1.33%, Bankex by 1.11% and Auto by 1.00%, while there were no losing sectoral indices on the BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Power Grid up by 3.50%, Axis Bank by 2.89%, NTPC by 2.42%, IndusInd Bank by 1.97% and Larsen & Toubro by 1.70%. Whereas Asian Paints by 1.60%, Dr. Reddy’s Lab by 1.25%, Bharti Airtel by 0.60%, Titan Company by 0.24% and ICICI Bank down by 0.22% were the top losers.

The top gainers on the Nifty were Power Grid Corporation of India Limited by 3.48%, Coal India Limited by 2.93% and Axis Bank by 2.83%, Bajaj Auto by 2.59% and NTPC Limited by 2.45%. Whereas Asian Paints was down by 1.51%, Adani Enterprises Limited was down by 1.40%, Dr Reddy’s Lab was down by 0.97%, Bharti Airtel was down by 0.44% and ICICI Bank was down by 0.32% were the top losers.

Fourth Dimension Solutions Limited, Apollo Micro Systems Limited, Campus Activewear Limited, Chalet Hotels Limited, and LT Foods Limited hit their 52-week high on Wednesday.
Akshar Spintex Limited, Agro Tech Foods Limited, Biocon Limited, Debock Industries Limited, and Gallant Ispat Limited touched a 52-week low on Wednesday.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, India Cements Limited, Axis Bank Limited and HDFC Limited were the most active equities on NSE.
The top volume gainers were Hindcon Chemicals Limited, Donear Industries Limited, JBM Auto Limited, Vimta Labs Limited, and United Polyfab Gujarat Limited.
United Polyfab Limited, Aarvi Encon Limited, Crown Lifted Limited, Debock Industries Limited, and Integra Essenita Limited hit their upper price band.

Suzlon Energy Limited, Akshar Spintex Limited, Khandwala Securities Limited, Siti Networks Limited and ABM International Limited hit their lower price band. There were 53 securities that hit the upper band while 58 hit the lower band on October 12, 2022.
