the Nifty was down by 267.75 points or 1.51% to 17,490.70 at close of trading
on Monday.

The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 59,402.50 and
58,705.11. There were 2 stocks advancing against 28 declining stocks on the
index.

The Nifty traded in a range of 17,690.05 and 17,467.35. There
were 5 stocks advancing against 45 stocks declining on the index.

The broader indices ended in green with the BSE mid-cap
index down by 1.80% and small-cap index down by 1.17%. The top losing sectoral
indices on the BSE were Metal down by 2.69%, Realty down by 2.47%, Basic
Materials down by 2.44%, Consumer Discretionary down by 2.01% and Auto down by
1.92%, while there were no gaining sectoral indices on the BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were ITC up by 0.64% and
Nestle up by 0.28%. On the flip side, Tata Steel down by 4.50%, Asian Paints
down by 3.51%, Wipro down by 2.96%, Sun Pharma down by 2.90% and Larsen &
Toubro down by 2.87% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were Tata Consumer Product up by
0.83%, Coal India up by 0.64%, ITC up by 0.59%, Britannia Industries up by
0.34% and Nestle up by 0.20%. On the flip side, Tata Steel down by 4.41%, Tata
Motors down by 3.70%, Adani Ports &SEZ down by 3.65%, Asian Paints down by
3.63% and Divi’s Laboratories down by 3.19% were the top losers.

Adani Power Limited, Akshar Spintex Limited, AMD Industries
Limited, Andhra Paper Limited and Astra Microwave Products Limited have hit a
52-week high on Monday.

Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, Asian Energy Services
Limited, Biocon Limited, Debock Industries Limited and Dynemic Products Limited
touched a 52-week low on Monday.

Zomato Limited (ZOMATO), Adani Ports and SEZ Limited
(ADANIPORTS), Adani Green Energy Limited (ADANIGREEN), ICICI Bank Limited
(ICICIBANK) and Reliance Industries Limited (RELIANCE) were the most active
equities on NSE.

DB Corp Limited, Global Vectra Helicorp Limited, Hardwyn
India Limited, CCL Products (Limited) and Mirae Asset Mutual Fund – Mirae Asset
Nifty 50 ETF were the top volume gainers.

21st Century Management Services Limited (21STCENMGM),
3P Land Holdings Limited (3PLAND), Adani Power Limited (ADANIPOWER), Adroit
Infotech Limited (ADROITINFO) and Arihant Capital Markets Limited (ARIHANTCAP) hit
the upper price band.

AMD Industries Limited (AMDIND), Andhra Cements Limited (ANDHRACEMT),
Antarctica Limited (ANTGRAPHIC), Arshiya Limited (ARSHIYA) and Ballarpur
Industries Limited (BALLARPUR) hit the lower price band. There were 87
securities that hit the upper band while 63 hit the lower band on August 22,
2022.
