The Sensex rose 274.12 points or 0.45% to 61,418.96 while the Nifty was up 84.25 points or 0.46% to 18,244.20 at the end of Tuesday’s trading session.
The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 61,466.63 and 61,073.68. A total of 25 stocks advanced against 5 that declined.
The Nifty traded in the high-low range of 18,261.85 and 18,137.70. On the index, 36 stocks advanced against 14 that declined.

The broader indices ended mostly higher with the BSE MidCap index gaining 0.48% and the SmallCap index down by 0.10%. The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were Metal up by 0.82%, IT 0.75%, TECK 0.70%, Consumer Durables 0.67%, and Commodities 0.63%. While Realty down by 1.02%, Power 1.02%, Utilities 1.02%, Telecommunication 0.33%, and Oil & Gas 0.04% were only losing sectoral indices on BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were IndusInd Bank up by 2.64%, NTPC 1.55%, Ultratech Cement 1.51%, Titan Company 1.26%, and Infosys 1.17%. While the losers on the index were Nestle India down by 0.76%, Bharti Airtel 0.48%, Powergrid 0.37%, HDFC Bank 0.19%, and Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.13%.
The top gainers on the Nifty were IndusInd Bank up by 2.94%, JSW Steel 1.89%, NTPC 1.64%, Ultratech Cement 1.48%, and HDFC Life Insurance 1.44%. While the top losers were BPCL down by 1.22%, Nestle 0.82%, Bharti Airtel 0.49%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.42%, and Power Grid Corp 0.37%.

BSL Limited, Kaynes Technology India Limited, Hi-Tech Pipes Limited, Sintercom India Limited, and Lotus Eye Hospital and Institute Limited hit their 52-week high on Tuesday.
Nxtdigital Limited, One97 Communications Limited, Suumaya Industries Limited, Jet Airways (India) Limited, and Olectra Greentech Limited touched their 52-week low on Tuesday.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Kaynes Technology India Limited, One97 Communications Limited, ICICI Bank Limited, and Reliance Industries Limited were the most active equities on NSE.
The top volume gainers were Usha Martin Education & Solutions Limited, Sintercom India Limited, Max Financial Services Limited, UTI Asset Management Company Limited, and Welspun Investments and Commercials Limited.

Airo Lam Limited, Bsl Limited, Easy Trip Planners Limited, Sadbhav Engineering Limited, and Welspun Investments and Commercials Limited hit their upper price band.
Usha Martin Education & Solutions Limited, Apollo Sindoori Hotels Limited, Jet Airways (India) Limited, Dc Infotech and Communication Limited, and Aakash Exploration Services Limited hit their lower price band. A total of 66 securities hit the upper price band, 57 securities hit the lower band and 17 securities hit both the upper and lower bands on November 22, 2022.
