Biocon Limited

The drugmaker sold a 5.4% stake in its research arm Syngene
International for a little over Rs 1,220.28 crore through an open market
transaction. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 560.04 per share, a
discount of more than 3% to Monday’s closing price of Rs 578.75 on the BSE.

Bharat Electronics Limited

BEL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with
Smiths Detection India for manufacturing technologically advanced
scanners – mobile as well as stationary. Under the deal, BEL will handle
front-end requirements in the market and support the localisation of projects,
while Smiths Detection will provide screening technology. BEL could start
producing scanners within three years.

Wipro

The IT services major has entered an expanded collaboration
with Palo Alto Networks to offer managed security and network transformation
solutions like SASE (secure access service edge), cloud security, and
next-generation SOC (security operations center) solutions based on Zero Trust
principles for global enterprises.

Astral

The company has received an order from NCLT sanctioning the
Scheme of Amalgamation of subsidiaries Resinova Chemie Limited and Astral
Biochem Private Limited with itself. Accordingly, the Scheme of Amalgamation
has become effective from September 6.

Suzlon Energy

The renewable energy solution provider said that it has won
an order to set up a 180.6 MW wind energy project from Sembcorp’s arm Green
Infra Wind Energy Ltd. Suzlon will install 86 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs)
with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each.
The project is located at Kanakagiribad, Bagalkot in Karnataka, and is expected
to be completed in 2024.
