Camila Cabello revealed that she "passed out" during the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming movie 'Cinderella' on Monday night. During the speech at the event, 24-year-old 'Havana' singer told the crowd that she passed out before making it to the stage.
"I'm sorry, I just passed out, but I'm back! I literally just passed out and now I'm back and I'm ready to read my notes," she told the crowd before delivering her speech.
"Hi everybody, first of all! Thanks for being here. I wrote this down so I wouldn't forget. All I can say is this was such an incredible experience," the star continued. "I believed in this movie so much, that all I wanted was to enjoy it, and not f*** it up. And I'm happy I didn't f*** it up. And I'm grateful for everybody who believed in me enough to give me the opportunity," Cabello said.
The actor-singer looked beautiful in a black and silver Oscar de la Renta gown for the premier. She accessorised the gown with thigh-high black boots.
Kay Cannon-directed 'Cinderella' marks Cabello's acting debut. The movie, which also stars Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan, is scheduled to be released on Amazon Prime Video on September 3.
Talking about her role in the movie, Cabello said in a statement, "I have been performing for a long time but playing such an iconic character was on another level. In this story, she is realizing what she really wants from her life, and it’s not a prince. She wants a career and she is being told that’s impossible. I love that she dares to be different."
Thanking her director for guiding her throughout the journey, she said, "She took hold of the reins and executed her vision with beautiful, womanly grace and a nurturing heart. I don’t know if I could have done this with anybody else. Besides being incredibly talented and funny, she’s so present. She makes everyone want to work hard because she sets that example."
