Minister of School Education of Maharashtra, Varsha Gaikwad, tweeted on April 12, 2021, that the board exams for class 10th and the 12th students will be postponed until further notice.

This decision had been taken because of the sudden rise in the COVID-19 cases. Minister Varsha Gaikwad made this announcement through a video which she shared on Twitter.

The second surge of COVID-19 has affected Maharashtra the most and the Government of Maharashtra have announced night curfews from Monday to Friday from 8 pm and a complete lockdown from Friday 8 pm to Monday 7 am to control the spread of COVID-19 till April 31.
