CTET 2021: Check details of exam pattern, exam date and syllabus

- CTET registration process began on September 20, 2021

- The CTET question paper will be asked in both Hindi and English
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) registration process on September 20, 2021. Candidates can apply on the official website i.e. ctet.nic.in. The CTET 2021 registration process will continue till October 19. The CTET exam conducted to recruit candidates for various teaching posts across all Central elementary schools.

The question will be asked in the multiple choice questions (MCQs) format. Each question will carry a one mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answer. This year, the CTET entrance exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) and exam will be held between December 16 and January 13.

The entrance exam will be held in two papers- paper I and paper II. Paper I will be held for those who wants to teach classes 10 5 and paper II will be for those who wants to teach classes 6 to 8. The duration of time for both papers will be two and a half hours. The CTET question paper will be asked in both Hindi and English languages.
If we talk about which topic will cover maximum marks in the question paper- for Paper I child development and pedagogy, language I and II, mathematics, and environmental studie will contains 30 MCQs.

While, Paper II will consist of 30 MCQs each from child development and pedagogy, language I and II, and 60 MCQs from either mathematics and science or social studies/sciences. Overall 150 MCQs will be asked for each paper.
The child development paper and pedagogy paper will focus on the psychology of teaching and learning appropriate for ages 6-11 (paper I) and 11 to 14 years (paper II).
In the language papers, the candidates will have to choose two different languages. There are 20 language options available including English and Hindi.

For mathematical and environmental studies in the case of paper I, MCQs will be based on concepts, problem-solving skills, academic comprehension, and the use of topics.
For Paper II maths and science, and social studies/ science subjects, there will be questions from ideas, problem-solving skills, and understanding of teaching and application of topics.
