The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) currently underway in Orlando, Florida held a straw poll on the 2024 presidential nominee and, unsurprisingly, Donald Trump won the poll.

Another poll was held on potential candidates for the elections excluding Trump in the list of candidates, and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida clinched it.

DeSantis has emerged as a popular Republican after Trump.

Jim McLaughlin, a pollster for Trump presented the results. The straw polls were conducted by secret ballots.

However, despite this win, only 68% of the activists present at the conference want Trump to run again in the 2024 Presidential elections. Meanwhile, 95% want the Republican party to work on and advance Trump's ideals.
