The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular directing all the affiliated schools to prepare and finalise the class 12 results by July 22. The Board has provided an additional day for the purpose in view of the Eid-ul-Adha holiday. 

“Country is celebrating Eid on 21.07.2021. Accordingly, 21 July has been declared as Holiday. Further, all the schools affiliated with CBSE are busy with the preparation of the results of Classes X and XII. For finalising the class XII results, the last date is 22 July,” the board circular read.

The central board also note that all the regional offices and the examination department of headquarter will be functioning from 10 am to 5 pm to meet the results preparation deadline.

Addressing the queries and doubts generated by various schools,  Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination said, “It is further informed that CBSE has also received some queries and requests from the schools through e-mail/WhatsApp etc. In this regard, FAQs are being developed and it is expected that the same will be provided to all the schools by 12 noon so that schools can take appropriate action.”

Last week, the CBSE asked all the affiliated schools to moderate Class 12 marks based on the average of the last three years and to ensure there was no bunching of total marks in excess of 95 this year.

The board has also issued a warning against inflating students’ marks and added that the result will be moderate before the announcement.

The CBSE class 12 results will be declared by July 31 as per the Supreme Court orders. The results for class 10 and class 12 students will be available on DigiLocker, a digital repository of the Union government. Students can also download their certificates and mark sheets directly from the platform.

Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

decided to conduct Class 10 and 12 board exams in two parts from the current 2021-22 session in view of continuing COVID-19 situation in the country.  

For an all-around assessment, the board has decided to base the first term on objective questions and the second on subjective content.
