The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a
revised term-wise syllabus for Classes 9 to 12. The term-wise syllabus will be
applicable for the CBSE board exams in 2022.

The detailed curriculum of all subjects has been released on the board’s
official website: cbseacademic.nic.in.

In view of the continuing pandemic situation and its associated
curbs, CBSE has decided to divide the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 in two
terms. The syllabus as a whole has also been reduced.

Students will
be required to appear for the end-term exams which will be held on the complete
syllabus.

The board has advised students and parents to get in touch with
their respective teachers.

Term 1 will be multiple-choice question (MCQ) based while term 2
may be subjective or MCQ based depending on the situation at the time.

CBSE has also promised to release sample papers for the revised
curriculum in due course of time.

Term 1 exams would be conducted in November–December and term 2 in
March—April.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, CBSE extended the deadline for
schools to prepare class 10 and class 12 results to July 25 from July 22. The
CBSE results for these classes are expected on July 31.

The results will be published on CBSE’s official website:
cbseresults.nic.in.

The board had to cancel board exams this year in view of the
second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. CBSE has come up with an alternative
assessment policy and schools have been asked to compile results in accordance
with the policy for classes 10 and 12.
