The registration
process of Delhi University (DU) for the admission in Under Graduate (UG) course ended on Tuesday night. Over 4,38,696 students had applied for about 70,000 seats in 63 colleges of the University till 6pm.

Admissions
to DU in UG courses are merit-based, that is based on the
marks obtained by the students in class 12 exams. However, for some courses,
such as, BA, BBA & BMS, students will have to appear for entrance- based exam which will be conducted online .

Students wishing to appear in the UG entrance examination should note that DU has also
released the schedule for its various UG exam. The exam will start from
September 27, 2021. The duration for the exam will be two hours for all
the entrance-based courses.

For
merit-based courses, it is expected that DU will release its first cut-off list
for UG Admissions before October 1, 2021. Professor Pinki Sharma, Dean,
Admissions said that the admission process for UG admission will start on
October 4, 2021. Candidates should keep an eye on the DU website for
declaration of cut-off and other admission-related queries.

For
postgraduate studies, approximately 1,83,815 students applied. Delhi University
has announced that it has received approximately 30,019 applications for MPhil
/ PhD programs for the 2021 session. The DU PG course application process ended
on August 21, 2021.

details regarding admission tests and admission process.

Delhi
University on Tuesday also approved the implementation of the National Education
Policy (NEP) and a four-year degree program at its Executive Council (EC)
meeting. Registrar Vikas Gupta said the NEP would be operational from the
2022-23 study.
