Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, on September
29, extended the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 registration
till October 7. The announcement was made on their official website. Earlier, the last date for the registration was September 30.

“Online registration for GATE 2021 is extended up to
Wednesday 7th October 2020 with regular fees,” a statement on the official
website read.

GATE is a national examination conducted jointly by Indian
Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology
(IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on
behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education,
Ministry of Education (MoE). GATE examination is a

GATE 2021 will be conducted for 27 subjects over six days
and twelve sessions. The dates are February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 in 2021. The
admit cards for the GATE 2021 will be made available from January 8, 2021.

GATE examination is conducted in different cities across
India as well as six cities outside India. However, in international centres,
GATE 2021 will be conducted only if the COVID-19 situation eases and travel and
other restrictions are relaxed. If the situation doesn’t improve GATE 2021 in
international centres will be ‘cancelled’, the website read.
