The Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Sunday extended the last date for students to register for the improvement and compartment examination of ISC 12th and ICSE 10th. Students who gave the ICSE or ISC exam this year, and wish to appear for the improvement or compartment exam in any subject, can fill the form till August 4, 2021, the board announced in a notification. The compartment exam for both class 12th and class 10th will start from August 16, 2021. Interested students can register on the council’s official website, cisce.org. The exams will be held offline.

The improvement exams are for students who were not satisfied with the marks they were awarded in the ICSE 2021 or ISC 2021 exam. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the marks were awarded using an alternative scheme for evaluation. This was done as the exams could not be held this year.

The compartment exams are for students who could not pass in one or a couple of subjects. ICSE class 10 students who passed in English and three other subjects would be eligible for the compartment exams. For ISC Class 12 compartment exams, the students needs to have secured a pass certificate in England and two other subjects.

Here is how you can register for the ICSE and ISC compartment/improvement exam:

– Click on the tab ‘Recheck for improvement’ or click the compartment registration link.
